2024 was a year of positive connections and enriching conversations for OCP Nutricrops. Marked by many key milestones and participation in global events, we connected with agricultural leaders, forged lasting partnerships, and engaged with local communities, scientists and farmers globally, underpinning all our engagements was our mission to advance sustainable agriculture and healthier soils for a brighter future.
At the 16th edition of the International Agricultural Exhibition in Morocco (SIAM) in April, we highlighted how our customized soil health and plant nutrition solutions help to combat climate change. The exhibition explored the theme Climate and Agriculture: Advocating Sustainable and Resilient Production Systems.
In September, we supported the Congreso Nacional sobre Fertilización in Madrid, Spain, organized by ACEFER. Innovation plays a crucial role in addressing challenges facing the agriculture industry and this event brought together key experts, including our European Sales Team, to discuss how digitalization and artificial intelligence can be leveraged to drive sustainability in global agriculture.
Our Head of Agronomy, Aniss Bouraqqadi participated in the Argus Media Europe Conference in Athens in October. The conference brought together key European leaders across the fertilizer value chain to discuss the latest industry developments. Aniss addressed the audience to highlight the industry’s trend towards customized fertilizers in a bid to align with global sustainability efforts. He emphasized the environmental benefits of precision farming solutions which prevent nutrient loss and maximize crop yields.
At the end of October, we signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with our close partners the Mohammed VI Polytechnic University (UM6P), Intercéréales-France and Arvalis. The MoU aims to strengthen cooperation in agronomic research and agricultural development, focusing on soil health and fertility, precision agriculture, water management and adaptation to climate change.
We had a fantastic time at the 18th International AFCOME meeting in Lille, France in November. We met with key stakeholders throughout the conference to discuss our comprehensive soil health solutions and the latest technologies in agriculture.
We attended The Fertiliser Association of India’s FAI 2024 Seminar in December, where we enjoyed contributing to discussions on Sustainable Fertilizer and Agriculture. We explored strategies for sustainable growth, helped to address
industry challenges and promoted balanced fertilizer use.
To wrap up a busy and successful year, we were thrilled to sign a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) in December with our key partner Plantix, part of the HELM AG family. With a focus on the Indian market and the main goal of empowering Indian farmers and advancing sustainable agricultural practices, we look forward to working together to bridge the gap between farmers and agri-retailers.
As we look ahead to 2025, we look forward to expanding our global outreach and remain committed to engaging with local communities, farmers, scientists and leading industry experts around the world, in our mission to create healthier soils for all.
