OCP Nutricrops is proud to highlight our participation in the 17th Edition of the International Agricultural Exhibition in Morocco (SIAM), marking a key week for the global agricultural community. The event served as a vibrant platform for agricultural leaders, scientists, and innovators to come together to discuss the ever evolving future of food and farming—focusing on the vital role of water stewardship in a changing world.
We were honoured to welcome the Moroccan Minister of Agriculture, His Excellency Mr. Ahmed El Bouari, to our booth. Kawtar Benkhraba, Executive Vice President of our Green Solutions Business Unit, shared our core missions and values and highlighted our commitment to sustainable agriculture and our work in promoting Morocco as a reliable leader in agricultural development and innovation around the world. The exchange reinforced OCP Nutricrops’ position as a key player in advancing agricultural transformation through innovation, collaboration and impact-driven action.
Thought Leadership in Action
We took part in two dynamic roundtable discussions that sparked meaningful dialogue on some of the most urgent challenges in agriculture today. Aniss Bouraqqadi, Head of Agronomy at OCP Nutricrops, participated in the roundtable on ‘Soil Health and the Resilience of Agricultural Ecosystems in the Face of Climate Change’ — a discussion that brought together experts to address today’s climate challenges. Aniss highlighted the role of the 4Rs Stewardship in preserving soil health, supporting Soil Ecosystem Services and the importance of customized fertilizers solutions, rooted in local data and agronomic science for empowering farmers to improve yields, reduce losses & emissions and adapt to a rapidly changing climate.
We hosted a session at OCP Group’s booth, in collaboration with French cooperatives and distributors NATUP and INOXA. Bahiya Hanoun, Director of Operations at our partner UM6P, moderated the important discussion on the topic ‘From Field to Innovation: Rethinking Fertilization to Meet the Challenges of Tomorrow’. France was the guest of honour at the session, so the dialogue was a great opportunity to exchange perspectives and explore avenues for cooperation across borders and sectors to develop more sustainable and resilient agricultural systems.
A New Chapter in Franco–Moroccan Agricultural Innovation
One of the standout moments of SIAM was the signing of a three-year strategic partnership with ARVALIS, Intercereales and the University Mohammed VI Polytechnic, reinforcing our commitment to science-based innovation for the future of productive and sustainable agriculture. Through the partnership, we will focus on the development of agronomic research programs aimed at improving the performance of soil health and cereal crop systems. The partnership also showcases our contribution to positive dialogues between Morocco and France, and our shared vision for agricultural innovation and resilience.
Global Voices, Shared Purpose
Coinciding with SIAM, we also attended the Argus Fertilizers Asia Conference in Bali, an event which brought together industry leaders to exchange insights on today’s most pressing agricultural challenges, from supply chain resilience to sustainable nutrient use. Bhavya Sehgal, OCP Singapore’s General Manager represented OCP Nutricrops during the Phosphate Keynote Panel, where he shared his expertise on how phosphorus strategies, supported by policy, can boost productivity across Indonesia and Asia.
From Morocco to Asia, and globally, we remain committed to nurturing partnerships, advancing science, and empowering farmers to feed a growing world sustainably.
